Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, founder TJ Murphy graduated from Morrison R. Waite High School in 2008 before enlisting in the United States Army. From 2008 to 2012, TJ served honorably, holding leadership roles across multiple units and participating in major combat operations with several overseas deployments. During his service, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado Technical University with a focus on project management laying the foundation for the disciplined, detail-driven approach that defines Superior Homes today. After relocating to Lubbock in 2012, TJ began building homes and working under contract with respected builders and developers. As his experience grew, so did a clear vision: to bring affordable luxury to homeowners without sacrificing quality. That vision became Superior Homes.
